The Ella Dawson Foundation works alongside a team of experts to enable young adults aged 18-30 and their families and carers access tailored wellbeing support packages unique to their needs at any stage of their cancer diagnosis within a safe, supporting and likeminded community.

Each young person registered with the charity can access any of the services up to two years post completion of active treatment. Once registered you will receive a welcome message from Tasha, Health and Wellbeing Coordinator within 48 hours. Tasha will support you through the programmes and services, and is a friendly face to answer your questions.

Specialisms:

Feel Well programme:

  • 1 to 1 sessions with oncology clinical psychologists specialised in young people’s oncology.
  • 1 to 1 sessions with counsellor in person in Huddersfield or online
  • Breathe and Relax Sessions with Sophie Trew, guided breathwork and relaxation techniques

Move Well Programme:

  • 1 to 1 support, coaching or programmes with cancer and exercise instructor
  • 1 to 1 yoga in person or online

Eat Well Programme:

  • 1 to 1 Consultation, Food Chat and Diet Plans with Oncology Nutritionist

Live Well Programme:

  • Funded access to exercise, music, arts, complimentary therapy and outdoors.
  • Wellbeing Days and Breaks Away supported by generous businesses
  • Northern Events to meet others going through something similar experiences
